I received my order from The Fat Quarter Shop today and I'm so excited! As you know, I won the big prize in the Quilt Shop Hop in March which was hosted by Seams to be Sew and one of the sponsors was The Fat Quarter Shop, who offered a very generous prize of $150. Woohoo! I was so surprised when I won!!!
As a huge fan of Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet, I opted to fulfill my fantasies and buy her accessories to her latest quilting adventure Let's Bake.
In addition to the Sew Simple Shapes, Let's Bake layer cake, and Cute Little Buttons, I also chose Lori's book Spelling Bee, her journal pages, and her Scrappy Project Planner. Lori Holt is a fantastic quilter and creates the cutest quilts to make, but my budget doesn't always stretch to include all of the extras. There were a couple ofgoodies in there not by Lori that I just had, too!
Thank you, Marian Pena and Fat Quarter Shop. You have made me one Happy Quilter!

I hope you all had a great Easter celebration with friends and family. This year was fun for me because all of my grandchildren were walking and able to participate.
Because of other obligations and time constraints, this year we had an Easter Brunch at Oma and Opa's house. Not quite the production of a full-blown dinner, although I probably should have started just a little earlier, the meal preparation was basically pretty easy. Recipes on Pinterest were very helpful.
And then of course there was the Easter Bunny. He knew 5 anxious little ones would be here, so he dashed in and left candy-filled eggs in the backyard, and then was gone in a flash, leaving only his paw prints as evidence he was here. (Another cute idea I saw on Pinterest.)
Easter baskets were filled to the brim with candy and goodies and I even made bunnies and chicks for all the kids. The kids loved the chicks' feathers.
All in all, it was a great day. Time now for me to put my feet up and maybe take a little snooze.
Until next year, keep hopping!
