So many beautiful quilts on display for us to ooh and ahh over. A lot of appliqued quilts were featured. I have never been much of a fan for doing this type of quilting. I can certainly appreciate them and admire the quilter who devoted long hours to their creation, but I'm just not sure I would be as dedicated. I did, however, buy this primitive baby quilt design (bottom front) because I thought it was cute and it, at least, is a smaller project.
This feather quilt is all over Pinterest and I think you can even find a free pattern of it there.
The Churn Dash is one of my favorite blocks. Simple and striking at the same time. Two-color quilts are always eye catching.
Vendor tables were bright and colorful and offered a variety of quilt patterns, fat quarters and yardage, pincushions, and other quilty stuff.
"Everybody needs stuff," as Rhea says.
This was my favorite Challenge Quilt. It's Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. "Some pig!"
After the show, we stopped for a breath of clean, cool air at Cambria. You just can't beat California beaches.
What a great day!
